History

I am the Artistic Director of VOIDANCE Company Professional Touring Dance and Multi Media Company which was set up in 2003.

I was the Artistic Director of Move Dance Company (Adult Community Performance Company) and CCDM (Adult Community Contemporary Dance provision) both of which were established in 1990.These have now evolved into Sand and Park Dances "outsider dance' and Dancing Demented, providing dance for the wider community in sited spaces. Sand Dances happens on Rossall Beach on the Fylde Peninsula and along the Welsh coast from Barmouth to Shell Island.

Park Dances happen in and around parks in the North West of England. Both outsider dance' events are free or through participant donations. 

 

A graduate from Middlesex University with a BA (Hons) in Performing Arts, a Special Certificate in Choreography and Performance from London Contemporary Dance School and an MA in Media Arts from MMU. Since graduating, I have been working with national and international dance companies, artists and leading dance professionals

 

My performance work has been seen in the UK, Europe and USA with companies such as Gestures Dance Company, Swamp Circus, Glee Club, Sensa Tempo, Twisted Collision Dance Theatre, Red Ladder Theatre CO, Robert Hylton, and Voidance Company  (Winners of the Turn Prize 2009 for 'Three Crows on the Road').

 

Previous collaborative works with artists include Stephen Petronio, Emilyn Claid, David Massingham, Earl Lloyd Hepburn, Siobhan Davies, Hans Tuerling, the late Lea Parkinson, Penny Arcade, Julie Tollentino, Katherine Dawson, Pete Purdy, Lawrence Turnball, Ruth Gibson and Bruno Marteli (Igloo), and the late Jeremy James

 

Performance work has been seen on BBC 1's OK 2 TALK FEELINGS, BBC's 10x10: NIGHTFRONTIER, Granada T.V Best of the Fest and Manchester International Festival (Sensa Tempo and 'The Assembly'). She has been involved in various Dance for Camera projects, including TWISTED COLLISION'S award winning 'TREADING WATER', which was part of VIDEO POSITIVE in 1995.
